This course is an online program in which the students attending the Qirā’āt theory (AS01) course will be required to complete their ijāzah in the variant readings. The AS01 course is taught immediately before the ijāzah reading so that the students can easily sit through the theory course and immediately sit in the ijāzah reading instead of having any gap in between.
To receive an ijāzah, students must register in the AS01 online course

- December Codification and Revolution
- January Abū Bakr b. Mujāhid
- February Ḥijāzi Readings: Qālūn, Ibn Kathīr, Abū Ja’far. Juz’ 1-5
- March Baṣran Readings: Abū ‘Amr, Ya’qūb. Juz’ 5-10
- April Kūfan Readings: ’Āsim, Khalaf, Khallād, Kisā’ī, Khalaf al-’Āshir. Juz’ 11-15
- May Damascene and Egyptian Readings: Ibn ‘Āmir, Warsh. Juz’ 16-20
- June Ibn al-Jazarī and the Ḥadīth influence. Juz’ 20-25
- July Farīdat al-Dahr: Juz’ 1
- August Khatm al-Qurān: Juz’ 26-30
Registration opens up in August and closes in September. Students receive their ijāzah in August after passing an exam on the variant readings.
