What are the prerequisites for each course?
Most courses do not have an enforced prerequisite. It is highly recommended that you read the description of the class to determine if you are qualified to attend it.
Must I enroll in a degree program to attend a course?
Enrollment in a degree program is not mandatory. You may attend any course as a non-degree seeking student.
What if I find a course too advanced for me — can I receive a refund?
Refunds are not issued. However, you may drop out of the class and use the funds towards a different level class. Such requests must be made immediately upon the conclusion of the second class.
What if I want to join a course that is already in progress? Can I catch up via recordings?
You may join a course up to the conclusion of the second weekend of course and catch up via recordings. After the second weekend, the course will be closed for registration.
Degrees and Ijāzahs
What are the requirements for a degree or ijāzah?
Ijāzah requirements can be under the ” Practical” section in the classes. Every subject has “theory” classes and “practical” classes. The practical classes is what will give you an Ijāzah upon its completion.
How do I pay the fees for my course?
All courses require payment at the time of registration. You cannot access the class unless you have registered and paid the fee. Fees are payable by Paypal. The email address for payment is firstname.lastname@example.org. For Ijazah reading, upon registration each student will recieve an email from the administrator of the teacher with their unique login information to our Fee payment portal. All fees must be paid using that portal otherwise the fee will be returned to you.
Can I receive a refund?
Refunds are not issued. However, you may drop out of the class and use the funds towards a different class. Such requests must be made immediately upon the conclusion of the second class.
I cannot afford to pay the fees for this course. Is it possible to get a scholarship or discount?
In our experience, when students are granted scholarship, they do not attend classes regularly and eventually drop out. As a result, we do not grant scholarships unless you provide the institute with proof of being unable to pay the fee. We may however grant scholarship based on merit. A student would need to demonstrate commitment and proficiency to be eligible for a scholarship.
We would like to remind you that we are an educational institute but we have salaries, overhead, and other expenses.
Can I sponsor a student?
As a policy, we do not accept donations. We will therefore be unable to provide a charitable receipt for your contribution. If you would like to sponsor a student, we suggest you pay the fee for the individual by giving the money to them directly or paying for their course. If you do not know any student requiring a scholarship and would like to sponsor someone, please send us an email expressing your interest and we will connect you with a student to sponsor directly.
Are all courses recorded? How long are the recordings available? Can I download them?
All courses are recorded and recordings are available free of charge for online viewing to students of the course. Recordings are available for 30 days from the live recording date. Recordings cannot be downloaded.
Please note that availability of recordings does not give students the flexibility to miss live classes. This is a facility that is provided to enable students to complete any missed sections of notes, review parts they may not have understood, and to listen to missed lectures (provided that lectures were missed due to a valid reason). If students do not attend a sufficient number of live classes, they will not receive course credits and may also lose eligibility for the degree and/or ijāzah.
Keep in mind that the teachers measure the students’ dedication and interest for degree/ijāzah through class participation. This can only happen if the student attends the live class.
What content is included in the course recordings?
Course recordings include the audio, view of interactive chat, and electronic whiteboard.
I have sent e-mails to your institute, but I get no response. What should I do?
Please read the FAQs carefully before emailing the institute. Questions already answered in this section will not be answered by email. Kindly give us 3-4 days to respond to other emails.
